HANGMAN "VERSION ONE"

HANGMANs album "Version One" will be available on Amplifier this week - other sites including Itunes to follow.
The CD will be available next month - CD Release party on Saturday July 24th @ Kings Arms with support from Sans Arcade, The Flaming Drivers and Halfblood Defiance.

BRIDGE*MODE IN THE AREA!!!

First post on the brand new blog for BRIDGE*MODE*RECORDS!

So whats this all about then? Simple - Bridgemode is my new baby, setup to put out music I make, but also looking at releasing and promoting compilations of independent nz music I believe deserves a hand up, a look in, a listen! After 14 active years in the grassroots music scene I've slowly but surely (sometimes painfully!) gathered enough skills and experiences to try releasing music on my own - beyond simply putting tracks on Myspace and hoping for the best haha!

We all know the recorded music industry is in a massive transition period - from the old system of record labels dictating it to - well - no-one really knows do they?! It seems now its all about using the increasing avenues and tools out there to connect with people by any means necessary...

Bridgemode is not motivated by profit but by a desire I have to be involved as much as I can in this thing I love and have dedicated a huge amount of my life to - MUSIC!

The first Bridge*Mode release will be the debut album 'The Primitive' by my band HANGMAN. Hey of course I'm biased but I will honestly say its a kick arse album of funky alternative rock with dashes of hip hop and downbeat grooves - its a mixed bag to say the least, not for the average pop song radio listener most probably but certainly for those that enjoy hard hitting yet funky music thats raw and honest in its delivery.
